What Does a Laser Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Consist of?

Laser Genesis skin rejuvenation is a safe and effective treatment requiring minimal preparation and downtime. To prepare for your treatment, avoid sun exposure for two weeks prior to your appointment. Waxing, chemical depilatories and resurfacing products should also be avoided for one to two weeks prior to treatment.

On the day of your treatment, plan to arrive about 15 to 20 minutes early to allow time for questions or any last minute paperwork. Once you are comfortable in our treatment room, your face will be cleansed and treatment can begin. A specialized handpiece is slowly moved back and forth over the treatment area. No anesthetic is used as the procedure is safe and gentle. Most patients describe it as a warming feeling. The procedure generally lasts about thirty minutes, and then you are free to leave and resume your day.

After treatment is complete, common side effects include potential redness and some tingling. These are generally short-lived and should subside within the first day after your appointment.
