What is Hyperhidrosis?
Hyperhidrosis is a condition resulting in excessive sweating usually in the armpits or on the palms, feet or head. While sweating is normal and necessary to regulate the temperature of the body, excessive sweating at times can be embarrassing, inconvenient and disruptive to normal daily activities.Treatment for hyperhidrosis involves injecting one of the neuromodulators, Botox, Xeomin or Dysport, into the affected area. The injections block the nerves that supply the eccrine gland and stop the sweating from occurring.
